About this role On offer here is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Litigation Lawyer who is capable of assisting clients, primarily in insurance (incl. personal injury) and medical negligence matters -if you're looking for high quality & complex work this will suit you down to a tee. Here you will be working alongside Partners & other colleagues to ultimately advance your career Typically the role will involve:- Advising a range of insurers and acting for their insureds in personal injury (defdt.
& some plaintiff) , medical negligence and general claims (Victoria & possibly some interstate jurisdictions); Acting for insured and uninsured institutional clients in historical abuse claims; Occasionally providing advice on indemnity and coverage issues; Acting for clients in other types of commercial litigation; Being part of business development and client relationship activities. About you To be successful here you will have:- Sound experience ( circa 3-6 years ) in acting at all stages throughout the litigation process, from initial client meeting, briefing counsel, drafting & instructing, Court appearances (eg. directions hearings) in relation to the above outlined areas, ideally gained with a reputable local practice; Strong attention to detail & technical/drafting skills; Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities; Interest in networking/practice/profile development; Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
