Service Transition Specialist Job No: WaterNSW1334 Location: Parramatta / Dubbo Employment Status: Full-Time No. of Vacancies: 1 Closing Date: 28 Sep 2020 AEST We are NSWs bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information. We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities.

We also own and operate the largest surface and groundwater monitoring network in the southern hemisphere and build, maintain and operate essential infrastructure. We are currently looking for Service Transition Specialist to lead and manage the quality of service transition and change across the WaterNSW environment, which includes ownership and enhancement of the change control, transition, asset and configuration management processes and the continuous improvement of configuration data scope, currency and quality. You will have balanced belief in the value of quality control, importance of procedure adherence(with flexibility based on risk), focus on customer value in the delivery of changes, quality transition of new services in a supportable state and similarly for end of life transitions, and the retention of data quality in the CMDB.

You will possess the ability to influence, encourage accountability of service suppliers, and engage the business in utilizing our service management systems and processes. Key responsibilities will include: Lead the enhancement and operation of the WaterNSW Service Transition framework to deliver sustainable technology services supporting business outcomes. Manage and optimise the Change Management process, promoting collaboration and participation between all vendors and internal suppliers. Chair the Change Advisory Board meetings Create, promote and maintain effective documentation supporting the processes you own Practice a risk based approach consistently across all aspects of Service Transition Blend the objectives of the Service Transition Framework with Agile and DevOps methodologies where applicable Manage process adherence and education on Service Transition across vendors and internal suppliers.

Develop and enhance the service transition and change management capability through automation and integration of data and approval workflows. Maintain and support Configuration and Asset Management processes Lead the continuous improvement of the accountable processes and services with a focus on enhancing security and risk management Coordinate after-hours Major Incidents per on-call roster, ensuring internal and external suppliers participate in the triage of incidents and pursue return to service as a priority.
