CYMHS Clinical Case Manager Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Child Youth Mental Health Team Temporary Part Time 0.6 EFT Grade 2 Social Work / Occupational Therapist / Psychologist or Grade 3 Registered Psychiatric Nurse Eastern Health Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. About the role We are seeking a clinician/case manager who has experience working with young people 0-25 and their families presenting with a wide range of serious mental health issues. The successful applicant will have experience undertaking mental health assessment, diagnostic formulation, collaborative treatment planning, case management and appropriate multi modal therapeutic interventions within a recovery framework. The successful applicant will join a skilled and enthusiastic team, with opportunities to develop their skills in family work, parent work and group work alongside case management and clinical interventions within a prescribed caseload.
This is a fixed term part time position (0.7) About you The successful applicant will have one of the following qualifications: Nurse: Registered as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority with approved/endorsed postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing Occupational Therapist: Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency. Minimum 12 months experience as a registered occupational therapist in a mental health setting.
Social Work: Approved degree in Social Work, or other qualifications approved for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Minimum 12 months post graduate experience in a mental health setting. Maintains compliance with the AASW Continuing Professional Development Policy in order to meet the Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standard.
Psychologist: Hold a Masters or Doctoral coursework qualification in Clinical Psychology that has been approved by the Psychology Board of Australia. Full registration or eligibility for full registration as a Psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA).? Registration endorsement in the Approved Area of Practice of Clinical Psychology or working towards this endorsement.
Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to undertake bio psychosocial assessments, case management, consultation and therapeutic treatment services to children, young people and their families presenting with mental health illness , preferably in the community mental health setting Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to working in mental health, e.g. Men....
