About the Role Provide high level executive support to the Chief Executive Officer and develop strong cross departmental relationships at all levels to assist high quality decision making and the integration of organisational objectives for a Local Government Council. This role is covering maternity for approximately seven (7) months commencing end of September. Key Responsibilities: Support the Chief Executive Officer Facilitate and support the Chief Executive Officer in liaising and developing partnerships with key stakeholders to promote and support the Community and Council, including liaising with State and Federal Government, Local Government and private sector representatives.

Manage community expectations as to services council provides in order to effectively manage issues which may have escalated to requiring intervention by the Chief Executive Officer Manage the Chief Executive Officer's diary Manage telephone enquiries directed to the Chief Executive Officer. Manage written correspondence directed to the Chief Executive Officer Identify, prepare and coordinate Council-related briefing information requirements for the Chief Executive Officer Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience in Executive or Personal Assistant roles. Project management experience Ability to identify issues, be forward thinking and think conceptually and formulate procedures to address these issues.

Sound understanding of and willingness to maintain political, commercial and personal confidentially in the workplace.
