Your Opportunity A new position has become available at Mission Australia to join our fun and dynamic team in Northbridge as a Team Leader. You will be supporting the program manager with the day-to-day operations of; providing case management and outreach support for the AOD Outreach Hub.

The Youth Alcohol and Other Drug Outreach Hub provide an integrated alcohol and other drugs (AOD) outreach, treatment and support service for young people aged 12-25 years in the Perth Metropolitan area who are at risk of or are experiencing AOD-related mental health issues or other co-occurring complexities. This role will attract a passionate senior youth worker with sector experience in AOD outreach and a strong track record in leading small teams or are ready to make that next step in their career. Your key responsibilities will be to: Respond to referrals and coordinate new client intake and allocations within the team Maintain a caseload of clients and provide ongoing person-centred case management Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective operation in the Perth Metropolitan area Lead and provide supervision of a small and diverse team of approximately six staff Coordinate and maintain a roster for service operations Requirements for Success To be successful in this role you will need to possess: A relevant university degree with relevant experience Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable young people Demonstrated experience working with people with complex mental health needs Demonstrated experience leading teams and people management The ability to maintain and develop effective relationships with stakeholders Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
