Administration Support Officer - HOPE Service - NAMHS
An exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established HOPE Service, at Northern Area Mental Health Provide front-end support to individual service users, staff and visitors of the service. Ongoing Part Time (0.5 EFT) position, working Monday to Friday, based at the Northern Hospital, Epping Life with Us: NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) is a clinical service of Melbourne Health, and operates in partnership with two other metropolitan health services; Northern Health and Western Health.
NWMH provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (Mid West, Inner West, North West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. About HOPE: The NAMHS Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement (HOPE) Program will provide support to individuals referred by Northern Hospital Emergency Department, Northern Psychiatric Units, or NAMHS Community Teams, post a suicide attempt or displaying serious suicide ideation, intent or planning.
HOPE will support clients for a period of 12 weeks, providing assertive and coordinated care. Engagement will take place via both outreach and clinic based therapeutic interventions. Each client will be allocated a HOPE Psychosocial Support Worker and Clinician to deliver practical support and evidence based therapeutic interventions to address the unique social, economic, historical and environmental factors that have contributed to, or continue to contribute to, a person’s suicidality.
This exciting new initiative will be based at Northern Hospital, Northern Area Mental Health. Managing all incoming calls, the Administration Support Officer is an integral part of the HOPE Service, and is responsible for ensuring individuals are attended to in a courteous and professional manner.
The Administration officer will work effectively as an integral part of the HOPE Team, whilst building positive collaboration with other community agencies.
