C++ Cloud Software Engineer - Contract position
Australian Citizen mandatory | NV1 clearance preferred Client Details This client is one of the world's leading aerospace technology organisations. This is an opportunity for an experienced C++ Cloud Software Engineer to join their applied technology research and development arm, responsible for building and creating innovative solutions and defining the next generation of autonomous aerospace technology. Description Working in the advanced concepts modelling and simulation development team, the C++ Software Engineer will be working on transitioning the next generation aerospace vehicle and transport systems simulation to the cloud.
Profile Successful applicants for the position will be experienced career C++ software developers with a depth of understanding and passion for software development and application design/architecture in areas such as cloud-based games development, virtual reality, modelling and simulation and data visualisation/analytics. Essential criteria: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related. Minimum 5 years' experience in the desired technical disciplines.
Strong knowledge of modern C++ principles and practices (C++11/14 mandatory, 17 desirable) and C++ frameworks (e.g. Qt or Boost).
Experience with architecting for and deploying applications to cloud and distributed platforms (such as KCS, Google Cloud, Azure). Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively within an agile development team and with people across all organisational levels.
Australian Citizen, with the ability to obtain an Australian defence security clearance (NV1). Desirable criteria: Experience in full-stack webtech application development, including design and implementation of asynchronous Web APIs (REST, SSE, WebSockets etc.), and demonstrated proficiency with modern server-side technologies and frameworks (Node, Express, Django, Mongo, etc.
