With a bright future ahead that will see continued growth, they have created an opportunity for a high-calibre candidate to lead the Planning & Inventory strategy across the group's network. Requirements Work with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver a robust inventory model that will add value to operations across the national network Oversee all inventory activities including the management of systems to ensure stock integrity across the business Mitigate risk to supply through developing visibility of current inventory holdings and aligning with demand forecasts Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the right stock is in the right place to improve service levels and reduce cost Create metrics and develop reporting on KPI’s such as service, inventory levels, slow and obsolete stock Ensure optimal inventory levels are held aiming to reduce inventory value whilst increasing service levels to customer. Ensure safety stock mitigates risk due to fluctuations in demand Work closely with the buying team and ensure supply is in-line with store requirements Work closely with the senior leaders in the business to develop strategy and identify areas for operational improvement Background, Experience, and Personality traits Must be able to engage with internal stakeholders and influence in a way that is non-confrontational but clear and with conviction Must be a strong communicator who is convincing, credible and confident Strong analytical ability and experience in developing metrics to measure and improve inventory operations A strong understanding of inventory management and planning with the ability to develop process and standardisation across the business Able to implement inventory management policy and demonstrate value so that teams adopt and follow process Must be open to change, collaborative, resilient, and capable of engaging and influencing teams through change A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to think strategically alongside senior management but also be comfortable being hands-on Computer literate with excellent systems skills Commercially savvy with the ability to identify opportunities to reduce cost Experience in a complex business with high SKU and multi-site operations Must come from a business that has fast and high volume products moving through the supply chain Ideally tertiary qualified with a relevant degree What's on offer This is a unique and career-defining opportunity to join a growing retail business with a high-performing culture.
