The Opportunity We are seeking experienced Engineers and Senior Engineers to provide Electrical and Avionic systems engineering services. We have opportunities at multiple sites and programs. These roles are at RAAF Bases: Amberley, Edinburgh and Williamtown.

As an Electrical and Avionics Design Engineer within BDA, you will Work with customers to develop and document electrical and avionic system requirements, Analyse and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications, Test and validate designs to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, Provide Engineering support for electrical and avionics systems over the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: Participating in engineering activities including design development and engineering investigations relating to Wedgetail electrical, radar, communications, navigation and electronic warfare systems, Developing engineering artefacts within the Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) environment, Supporting Engineering initiatives as required. Experience/Qualifications: Hold an Electrical, Avionics or related tertiary Engineering degree qualification satisfying the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust), Have experience and knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes, aircraft wiring design and repair methodologies, aircraft electrical systems and engineering processes; Previous experience with aircraft modification programs highly regarded, Previous experience with EASA 21.
J, CASA 21.J, or CASA 21M Modification and Repair Design Approval is highly regarded. Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
