Manager - Training and Development
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) has a current vacancy for a PSL6 - Manager, Training and Development within the Parliamentary Security Service (PSS), Security Operations Section. This role leads a team of curriculum developers and capability trainers to achieve Security Branch outcomes. In this role you will deliver the development of security focused training programs for the PSS.
You will manage a small team of training staff who are responsible for developing, reviewing and evaluating the content and certification of training programs for the Branch. The training provided will include specialised protective security components, with an emphasis on the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). The successful candidate will be solutions focused, both short and long term and will have a positive attitude to change.
They will have the ability to produce e-learning material and have a high level of organisational and time management skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are a must in order to succeed in this role. It is also desirable for candidates to have training experience within a government security setting or law enforcement environment.
