Seeking a Senior Application Developer for our Federal Government Client based in Canberra's CBD for an initial contract through to June 2021. Senior Application Developer Contract to June 2021 Further extensions possible up to 6 months Baseline clearance or the ability to obtain Our Federal Government client is seeking a Senior Application Developer to join their team on an initial contract through to June 2021 working across a Logging and Monitoring Project and BAU. Please note this role is based in Canberra.
About The Role: Actively participate in the development lifecycle, which may include analysis, design, building, testing, documenting and maintenance. Provide advice and undertake complex activities associated with developing and/or supporting computer applications. Apply technical skills to design, implement and support workable solutions to meet project/business requirements.
Develop and maintain a network with others internally and externally, build relationships with team members, management, and a range of stakeholders. Research and develop continuous improvement processes to enhance procedures of current and new work practices. Develop and maintain necessary levels of expertise and take responsibility for sharing knowledge with others and assist them to adapt Lead, change and deal with uncertainty in a positive and flexible manner Ideally, you will have: Highly developed skills using Visual Studio development with experience in .
Net, C#, Java Script and HTML Experience with complex development activities, program design and web development. Ability to analyse business requirements to develop capability that meets business outcomes. Proven expertise and extensive experience in writing technical documentation Ability to work with project managers, project team members and business representatives to deliver outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated with minimal direct management and a demonstrated commitment to meeting deadline Desired: Strong familiarity with Object Oriented Development techniques. Experience with the development of technical documentation. Experience using TFS based collaborative software development tools, Experience implementing: PostgresSQL and (preferably) Greenplum databases, Graph databases and graph visualisations, Text based analytics using GPText and/or Apache SOLR, MVC patterns, Web based search interfaces, and Integrating BI Reporting tools with large database.
