As a key member of the Analytics leadership team, the Associate Director of Self-service Analytics leads the democratisation of data and mobilisation of insights for Optus Consumer.

The purpose of the role is to solve business problems by empowering internal stakeholders to create their own insights and deliver P&L impact from the use of data and analytics. The Associate Director, Self-service Analytics will be responsible for developing the analytical asset and self-service analytics solution roadmap, gathering input from business stakeholders, aligned to AOP objectives and business strategy with a specific focus on creativity, innovation and value. They will work with stakeholders across Optus Consumer, in both Agile and non-Agile environments, to drive the adoption of self-service analytics solutions as well as create an understanding of how insights can be leveraged to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

This will involve interactions with stakeholders at Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level and at times, the Executive Committee (ExCo). Working in an Agile environment, this role has Chapter lead responsibilities and accountability for a current team of 10 Visualisation and BI experts. There will be a strong focus on coaching and mentoring chapter members in all dimensions of analytics capability (technical skills, business acumen and communication) and growing our innovative, collaborative, proactive and entrepreneurial culture.

Key Responsibilities: Develop the analytical asset and self-service analytics solution roadmap, gathering input from business stakeholders, aligned to AOP objectives and business strategy with a specific focus on creativity, innovation and value Act as change agent and evangelist to drive the adoption of data visualisation and self-service analytics best practices across Optus, mobilising insights and democratising data to enable stakeholders to generate their own insights Provide input into Quarterly Business Reviews, AOPs and setting KPIs Evaluate, educate, and elevate visualisation and self-service analytics through establishing best practices, education and hands on coaching Collaboratively develop appropriate standards/processes/workflows/controls regarding visualisation and self-service analytics solutions with IT/Analytics LT/business stakeholders and drive their adoption Design, embed and test appropriate risk management controls for the Chapter including, but not limited to, participation in design and technical peer reviews Coach and mentor Chapter members and the Analytics Community, being the subject matter expert/thought leader on data stor.
