NSLHD - Social Worker COVID19 Talent Pool
In the current COVID-19 health pandemic Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking Allied Health Professionals to provide high quality patient care to the community. As a part of a multidisciplinary team you will be supporting the continuity of allied health care through patient’s journey and support the delivery of optimal care and support with the patient, carer and families experience at the forefront. As a NSLHD allied health team member you need to be adaptable, agile and have the ability to be responsive and flexible to the rapidly changing needs our patient care, service delivery and community needs.
This includes 7 day a week care and rotating shifts. Team members recruited to the talent pool will need to be willing to work across multiple sites/facilities and communities in NSLHD to support patient care and service continuity in response to the demand due to the need to surge and backfill the allied health workforce. Successful applicants may be asked if they are willing to work on special projects or temporarily fill in for staff on leave or secondment.
This provides an exciting opportunity to gain experience working in a range of services. Employment Type : Casual Position Classification : Social Worker Level 1/2 Remuneration : $32.41 - $46.

Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks. Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, counselling, crisis management, case management, advocacy, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required). Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
