Tell me more… The Clinical Nurse (CN) demonstrates clinical leadership and management qualities in the provision of safe evidence-based patient care in the perioperative setting. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, provide educational support to peers, plan/evaluate nursing care, and provide clinical supervision and nursing leadership as required.Provide high level clinical support to the Clinical Nurse Consultant/ Nurse Unit Manager (Theatre).

To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrated knowledge of legislation including Health and Hospitals Network Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, and Equal Employment Opportunity Legislation and other relevant legislation. Demonstrated knowledge & practice in the application of evidenced based clinical management, diagnostic investigation and pharmacological management of patients in TCHHS. High level of communication & interpersonal skills.

Ability to consult, liaise & negotiate with hospital/community health providers. Demonstrated understanding & knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory. Minimum of 3 yrs experience in Anaesthetics/ Post Anaesthetics role and ability to work effectively in an emergency perioperative case.
