Physiotherapist - Community (New Grad or Grade 2)
About the company Working with a long standing NFP organisation in remote Queensland, the large multidisciplinary team is looking to service the remote community in need. This is a chance to be part of a team providing high quality care to patients who otherwise would not receive services. Travel within the community may be in 4x4 vehicle or via twin engine light aircraft to some of the more remote communities on islands or in the remote outback with a dedicated support staff.
This is a rare opportunity to service the community in remote Australia while being paid for such a unique experience. About the role This is a full time permanent role. This is aimed to provide generalist Physiotherapy services to patients at numerous facilities in and around the catchment area of the clinic (Longreach, or Townsville).
Working as part of a rural health service you will be an integral part of a MDT working across a huge catchment area in an area desperate for high level of varied podiatry services. Many of the patients do not have access to basic health services. Your role will involve assessing MSK, Functional, Nerve and Joints.
Another part of your role will involve treating joint, cardiovascular and respiratory functions, as well as strengthening muscles and improving balance. Your will also be aimed to identify and manage treatment options as well as raise awareness in prevention amongst the community. A detailed Position Description is available if requested.
