Senior / Project Manager - Client Side - Industrial Projects
Our client is a boutique client side project and construction management consultancy who provide independent and professional services for property and infrastructure projects. They are looking for an enthusiastic Senior / Project Manager to join their innovative and client focussed team to work on a high end industrial projects. Experience working on industrial, warehouse & distribution centre building projects is desirable.
Ideally the candidate will have experience in these type of projects (or similar) and hopefully recently and the candidate can come from the client or head contractor side. If from the contractor side, Contract Administration, Project Engineering and Project Management Skillsets are sought after. Offering and end to end consulting, PM and advisory service to their clients, they have a diverse project portfolio spanning industrial, commercial buildings, education, hotels and infrastructure to name a few.
As Senior / Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects from scope development through construction to hand over, providing a high quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. The Ideal Candidate will have: Experience of managing industrial projects from scope development to hand over A proven track record in managing the design development as well as the up-front regulatory approvals Experience on industrial new build projects from $10m Ideally experience of working for a client side PM firm or a main contractor on D&C contracts in buildings Develop documentation for the appointment of contractors through competitive tendering Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required Be able to manage project expenditure and cash flow Be able to interrogate construction programs Be able to manage defect identification and rectification Strong stakeholder management skills A positive and "can do" attitude and extremely high client serving standards are essential Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or similar Minimum 7 years' experience ideally working on large scale industrial, warehousing and distribution center projects Ideally experience of working for a client side PM firm or a main contractor on D&C contracts in buildings Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an added advantage Strong project financial reporting skills Leadership skills Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture Excellent verbal and written communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills This is a full time permanent position providing a great opportunity to work with an established organisation who offer challenging work.
