The Head Office in SA are in a growth phase and therefore an opportunity has opened for a Logistics Manager to join the team. Your new role As the Logistics & Demand Manager you will be responsible for the complete logistics network, this is a strategic role and whilst good processes and procedures are in place it does require a strong commercial aptitude. The purpose of your role is to enable and improve operational performance.

In your remit you will manage the logistics and warehouse teams and the 3PL providers which move the raw and finished goods from the main site and a co-manufacturer. This is a Global organisation, therefore you will also oversee the International movement of products and as part of that function will review the supply chain identifying issues and implementing process improvements as required to ensure on time delivery at a high quality. You will be responsible for the management of the Annual Operating Costs that has been set, adapting and developing changes to manage any costs changes that you identify.

You will also be tasked with reviewing and negotiating terms where necessary in line with Operational requirements to ensure profitable supply and continuous improvement. What you'll need to succeed You will be a proven logistics leader with strong experience in contract management and the management of 3PL providers. This role has ever changing demands and you will have strong organizational skills to manage such.

The Stakeholders for your role will be at all levels, both internally and externally; from local warehouse operators, country managers, to overseas 3PL contacts. Therefore the ability to build strong relationships face to face and over the phone will be key to your success. Essential: APICS Basic of Supply Chain Management, or equivalent Degree or Post Graduate qualifications in business/commerce/economics Sound experience within Supply Chain management roles Strong financial acumen Action and outcome oriented Strong strategic mindset Strong ability to prioritise work commitments aligned with organisational goals ERP end-to-end business experience WMS use and maintenance experience Contract and vendor management MS Office Ability to manage projects Experience with international logistics management 3PL costing / modelling experience What you'll get in return In return for your commitment and skill you will be rewarded with a leadership position in a global organisation that not only has a strong footprint in the market but is also in a huge.
