Justice Program Officer

We work to support individuals impacted by the justice system. In Victoria, we provide support for both young people and adults who have been involved in the system through programs and initiatives in community and judicial settings.
About the role You will have two key functions, firstly providing hands on case management support for individuals involved in the justice system and secondly developing new and innovative projects to support our growth in the justice sector. You will be required to support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to access relevant services and support systems. The role will be required to utilise best practice measures and a strengths based approach to case management.
You will play a key part in supporting the development of new justice initiatives. Through utilizing Human Centred Design principles, this role will work alongside those in the community, sector and individuals with lived experience to identify gaps in service delivery, and ensure that new initiatives are supported by sound evidence and a strong monitoring and evaluation framework to measure impact. What you’ll bring Proven knowledge of the Victorian justice system, including a sound understanding of the social political issues and needs of individuals in the justice sector.
Experience working in the Victorian justice sector, including existing relationships and networks. Proven ability to provide high quality case management support including demonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs, including conducting risk assessments, and developing effective case plans and safety planning Understanding of Human Centred Design Principles and the ability develop and deliver innovative projects and strategic initiatives. A Working with Children check is a mandatory requirement for this role Why work for us?
