This position provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced Adult Mental Health Worker to contribute to the expansion of Enhanced Maternal and Child Health service delivery on the Mornington Peninsula. About the business & role The Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Service is part of the suite of services provided by the Child and Family Health Team based at the Hastings Shire Office. You will be required to work within a multidisciplinary team: Working within the Enhanced MCH team and the Child and Family Health Service to provide short-term intensive support to families who have children aged from birth to 6 years where adult mental health is one of the presenting issues.

Conducting adult mental health assessments, family assessments, formulating and reviewing Child and Family Action Plans and comprehensive discharge planning Referring and linking families with appropriate longer-term support services as required The successful candidate will have Relevant Degree in, Mental Health, Family Therapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Social Work Minimum of 2 years proven case management and case practice experience in Adult Mental Health Sound knowledge of relevant legislation & statutory responsibilities related to mental health, children, young people & families High level theoretical and practical knowledge of family and child health and development, group learning strategies incorporating adult learning theory A valid Employee Working with Children Check Willingness to undertake an Australian Criminal History Check A valid Driver’s Licence Please review the PD in full for specific information about this role.
