Employment Type : Temporary Full Time until 27/6/21 with the possibility of an extension dependent on funding Position Classification : Mental Health Professional (Allied Health Level 4 / Clinical Psych / CNC3) Remuneration : $97,251 - $126,553.90 pa Hours Per Week : 38 Requisition ID : REQ161534 Location : Nowra Closing Date : 31 May 2020 What you'll be doing Work as part of a whole of government response to the bushfires that occurred in NSW during the 2019-20 bushfire season. Work collaboratively with existing health services, regional hospitals and emergency services agencies in the fire affected communities.
Work within a stepped care framework in collaboration with general practitioners, allied health professionals, schools, public mental health services, and private psychologists and psychiatrists. Work closely with the ISLHD Mental Health Bushfire Recovery Coordinators to ensure people are able to access the right level of mental health care for their individual needs. The objectives of the NSW Bushfires Mental Health Program are to: ensure that fire-affected individuals can access appropriate and timely clinical services to deal with mental health needs arising from the fires target vulnerable population groups across the region ensure emergency services staff and volunteers can access appropriate and timely clinical services to deal with mental health needs arising from the fires.
As the position is time limited, finishing in June 2021, a key function will be planning for transfer of care for any service users requiring ongoing mental health treatment and care.
