Transport Network Strategy Officer

The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Strategy Officer to be a part of the Sydney Planning team in the Greater Sydney Division of Transport for NSW. The role is responsible for contributing to the development of strategic integrated transport network planning, including road network development and management principles and practices, network performance measures and targets, network studies/assessments, guidelines and practice notes.
This role is best suited to someone who has experience in multimodal transport planning and project management comes with strong understanding of government policies and objectives. It is an ideal role for someone who is good at collaborative working, managing stakeholder relationships and expectations, is comfortable working with the team on sensitive issues often within tight timeframes. Essential requirements Along with a great attitude and collaborative skills, you would be required to possess • Tertiary qualifications in transport planning, traffic engineering, urban planning or a related discipline. •Experience in transport planning and/or traffic engineering and a thorough knowledge of issues impacting on the efficient, reliable and safe movement of people and goods on road networks. •Knowledge of techniques, standards and tools in strategic network planning for all road based customer groups.
