The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure. The opportunity Right now, we have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Transaction Officer to join a dynamic team which is responsible for supporting the commercial relationship between regionally located project teams, Suppliers and Contractors and Transport Shared Services.
You will be tasked with ensuring that all procure-to-pay transactions are completed in accordance with all relevant government, policies, procedures and statutory requirements while providing a strong customer service focus to all stakeholders. What you will be involved in: Reviewing, checking and processing Contract and Panel Agreement payments to agreed standards and timeframes Preparing and issuing payment certificates by strictly adhering to the Security of Payment Act (SOPA) Assisting in the preparation of purchase order requests and amendments, variation letters and Security Deposits Assisting with end of month accruals and reporting Utilising Procurement Systems and SAP to support contract administration duties and compliance with GIPA requirements About you To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working in a fast paced accounting or finance environment where you are used to high volume accounts processing. You will have a high level of accuracy, good attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to adhere to strict policies, procedures and regulations, in addition to contractual requirements.
As you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders, many geographically dispersed across NSW, you will possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written to ensure that at all times you are clear and concise as well as customer service oriented. Previous experience utilising SAP, ARIBA and Transport for NSW procurement systems would be highly regarded.
