Project Manager - Systems Testing & Commissioning
TSOM Package: Delivery of Trains, Systems Operations and Maintenance (TSOM) across the City & Southwest Metro Line. An integral part of the City & Southwest project, the team is a rapidly growing dynamic and collaborative group of professionals responsible for the delivery of the largest package of work ($3.7bn).
They oversee and manage the contract which delivers the bulk of the rail systems technologies as well as the systems integration package, which is responsible for the integration of full line and operations integration. The opportunity If you are an experienced Project Manager with rail systems testing and commissioning experience then look no further. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and broader TSOM team this role will be responsible for ensuring the contractors are delivering to schedule for Phase 1 ( Chatswood to Sydenham ).
This will include monitoring and mitigating project risks whilst being across all plans developed by subcontractors for rail systems. Including; rolling stock, signaling, radio, passenger screen doors as well as operational readiness testing. A key delivery role where your success be defined by your ability to establish yourself in the position and quickly forge strong internal and external relationships.
You will be initially focused on reviewing the planning phase plans. Thereafter establishing the roll-out of the testing and commissioning frameworks and procedures, and ensuring the contractors are delivering within the framework and remain on track with the development of the procedures. You will also have large interaction with the signaling team and the rolling stock SME's too.
About you The ideal candidate will have experience managing contractors on system integration projects, a sound understanding of a project's lifecycle, and the ability to identify potential risks and issues prior to escalation. Progressive project management skills coupled with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and disciplines, Project Delivery, Systems Integration, Testing and Commissioning experience (ATC, ATP, CBTC, GSM-R and TETRA all highly desirable) coupled with a passion for making a difference and directly influencing the future This is an exceptional opportunity where your personal success will directly translate into the successful delivery of the project.
