Registered Midwife- Midwifery Group Practice
An exciting opportunity exists to experience and work within the caseload model of Midwifery at Ryde Birth Unit, providing Antenatal Care Birth and Postnatal care in the womens' home. The position is permanent full time, with part time also considered. Where you'll be working This midwifery caseload model of care is part of the North Shore Ryde Maternity Service and award is the Annualised Salary Agreement.
This position is supported by the midwives within the Ryde Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), the Midwifery Unit Manager, Clinical Midwifery Consultant and Educators. What you'll be doing To provide quality woman centred, effective, evidenced based midwifery care in accordance with the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMC) National Competency Standards for the Midwife (2006) and to supervise the work of others as required. The midwife will consult and liaise with obstetric, medical and other appropriate staff as per the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral (PD2010_022) guidelines when deviations from the norm are identified.

Registered Midwife, registered with AHPRA. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues. Computer literacy.
Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
