Little Birds Speech Pathology About the business We are a paeditratric private practice located in Kew and Templestowe Lower, offering services at our clinic as well as home/school visits. A vacancy exists at our Kew clinic. We take on a family-centred approach and provide services through the NDIS and Medicare schemes.

We are a warm and welcoming team, and the clinic offers support and clinical supervision. About the role We have a part time position available two days a week with the ability to also work weekends. The successful applicant will be confident in the assessment, analysis and treatment of children, with experience working with children with ASD and AAC.

They will also be expected to report back to a supervisor and use technology to assist with bookings of appointments. Employees can expect: - external clinical supervision - peer support and mentoring - a wide range of resources - purpose built clinic space - reasonable caseloads Suitable candidates will require - A relevant tertiary qualification in allied health (speech pathology) - Current early childhood development theory and practice, including cross cultural perspectives and the philosophy of inclusion, family centered and play-based therapy.

- Knowledge and experience in typical and atypical early childhood development and practical strategies to facilitate child development - Capacity-building approaches that utilise collaboration, reflective and strengths- based practice - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships and work with people from various backgrounds - Ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with families, other professionals and the community - Well developed written skills to prepare routine correspondence and client documentation. - Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a multi-discplinary team (especially for ASD diagnosis) - Ability to plan and organise workload and determine priorities - Experience working with children with additional needs would be and EAL families highly regarded Skills and experience While experience is preferred, confident graduates are also encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be capable, independent and have good attention to detail.

Registration with SPA is essential as well as Working With Children’s Check, Police Check, own car and drivers license..
