General Manager



Lead and manage the Jodi Lee Foundation to achieve its mission. Save lives through communication campaigns, initiatives and events. The Jodi Lee Foundation commenced in 2010 with the primary focus to prevent bowel cancer, the second biggest cause of cancer-related death in Australia.

Ten years on, the Jodi Lee Foundation takes a multipronged approach to saving lives which includes increasing awareness nationally through a number of events and communications initiatives; a workplace program; and the development of tools to aid the early detection of bowel cancer. Reporting into the Founder, the General Manager will be responsible for leading the Jodi Lee Foundation to achieve its mission in accordance with strategic objectives and values. Core responsibilities of the role include: Grow the JLF brand and bowel cancer prevention initiatives Regularly review and uphold the current strategic plan and report progress to the Board Ensure sustainability, including actively developing existing and new revenue streams Actively develop and manage relationships with corporate, government and other stakeholders Together with the Founder, to be the official spokesperson for the JLF Lead and manage the small JLF team by empowering them so they can manage their areas of responsibility Lead by example by demonstrating a strong commitment to JLF values Advocate on behalf of the JLF and bowel cancer prevention Develop annual budgets and ensure financial performance outcomes are met Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all legislation, regulations and contractual obligations This role will suit an experienced executive who is comfortable working at both a strategic and operational level on a consistent basis.

You must have a passion and commitment for the JLF which will see your highly developed leadership skills thrive. You will be a strong and confident written and verbal communicator, and will enjoy engaging with a vast array of stakeholders. Previous experience in marketing and a working knowledge of digital media is an absolute must.

You will have the capacity to work autonomously as well as the ability to work constructively in a small team environment. Previous work experience in either a similar not for profit or commercial organisation will be highly regarded. This is a part time role (0.
