O’Brien Plumbing & Roofing Port Macquarie , is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic Accounts Officer to join our team. This role is on a part-time basis Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week with the potential of further hours as our business expands. You will bring a positive attitude, be warm and friendly with excellent organisational skills, great communication skills and an autonomous nature with the desire to own the role.
You will be joining a fast-paced office environment in a role that includes a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to: Reconciliation of accounts Purchase order processing Customer invoicing Maintaining accurate accounts payable and receivable ledger Accounts Receivable follow up Processing of weekly and monthly supplier payments ATO lodgements Processing Payroll Liaising with an external accountant as necessary Assist in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships General administrative duties as required To be successful in this role you must have the following skills and attributes: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar environment Extensive experience utilising Xero accounting software Experience with Simpro job management software - an advantage High level of accuracy and attention to detail Commitment to providing excellent customer service Highly developed communication skills (by email and phone) Be a problem solver with the ability to think on your feet to resolve issues quickly Excellent organisation and time management skills Superior customer service skills Ability to work in a team If you're a self-starter, highly motivated, energetic with a strong work ethic, and looking to make your mark on the growth of a successful award-winning company, then we would like to hear from you.
