Support Worker - Mental Health

We are looking for a reliable Support Worker with a passion and experience in Mental Health and who is able to set boundaries to join the Peel Coast team (Falcon and Dawesville Areas). The successful candidate will be required to help with meal preparation, personal care and manual tasks support needs. Duties include but not restricted to: Providing a range of support services including social support Providing complex and mental ill health support Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team Reporting issues and hazards as required Actively engaging in regular team meetings What we require: Previous experience in the Mental Health field is required Strong values that align with those of Avivo Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via emails, phone calls and texting with your team and think outside the box A current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (essential) First aid certificate or be willing to obtain one Flexibility to work a variety of shifts Monday - Friday and on the weekends Tertiary qualification in mental health/similar field or working towards.
