Varied and autonomous role Close knit and supportive team Ongoing role with salary sacrifice available to maximise your take home pay About Us Catholic Safety, Health and Welfare Unit (CSHW SA) is a shared service of the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide providing a service to schools, Aged Care, Social Services and Parishes. The Unit is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System for the Catholic Church in South Australia. The employees in CSHW SA are employed by Centacare Catholic Family Services.
About the Position The Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant will report to the Executive Manager of CSHW SA and will provide support and advice to worksites within the Catholic Church Endowment Society Inc. (CCES) Self Insurance Registration. The WHS Consultant will: Provide WHS advice and assistance to a variety of worksites to ensure legal compliance and conformance with the CCES safety management system Contribute to the development of WHS tools and resources Conduct WHS audits Deliver information and training sessions for small groups Work collaboratively in a small team environment About You To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria: Essential Criteria Tertiary qualification in Work, Health and Safety (minimum diploma level) Auditor Qualification (WHS or equivalent) Thorough knowledge of WHS and other relevant legislation Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’) Valid Driver’s Licence Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail Willingness and ability to travel to sites across SA when required Desirable Criteria Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE 40116) Experience in working in a self-insured environment Experience working in a multi-site / multi-industry environment Our Culture and Benefits At Centacare we believe that everyone has the right to be treated with respect.
