Job Title: Senior Data Analysts Group: Various Unit: Various Classification: APS Level 6 Salary: $84,457 – $93,365 plus superannuation Engagement Type: Ongoing/non-ongoing (non-ongoing positions will be offered for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension) Location: Most positions are expected to be based in Canberra. Limited opportunities may become available in our Sydney office The filling of this vacancy is intended to constitute an affirmative measure under Section 26 of the Australian Public Service Commissioner’s Directions 2016. This vacancy is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people .

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Senior Data Analysts to provide data analysis, technical and non-technical written work and research project support to units across the organisation. This recruitment exercise will be used to fill current vacancies and may be used to fill similar positions at the APS6 classification over the coming 12 months. Position description Senior Data Analysts will be required to demonstrate well-developed understanding and skills in statistical work and the ability to manipulate and interrogate databases using a range of software (including, but not limited to SAS). Applicants will also have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to research and analyse information and effectively manage and prioritise their work. We encourage applicants from a wide range of skills and disciplines.

This may include (but is not limited to) those with qualifications and/or relevant work experience in statistics, epidemiology, demography, data science, health informatics, economics, actuarial studies, accounting, health.
