Ablecare provides a wide range of services to children and adults with a disability and their families, including: Respite, Residential Care, In Home Support, Day Services and On Call support. To ensure we continue to achieve our goals of providing client-centred supports and due to substantial growth we are recruiting for full time Rostering Clerks to work alongside the Talent Scheduling and Talent Management Teams based at our Strathpine Corporate Office .

The role includes organising and scheduling direct support staff to fill a range of shifts across numerous work locations. You will be working in a fast paced environment which involves high levels of phone communication and the use of a range of computer software programmes . You will be responsible for building effective and compliant rosters and liaising both with staff and directly with Management to meet their staffing requirements.

The shift structure for the position is on a rotating roster working from 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. The position includes telephone On-Call duties to co-ordinate shift replacement which includes evenings and weekends on a rotating basis . Ensuring staff have excellent shift and activity plan instruction.

The Successful applicants will possess the following : Motivation to succeed, with strong communication skills Ability to work autonomously in a high demand environment that includes rapid responses Proven ability to prioritise workload and multi-task to ensure work commitments are completed within timescales Previous experience with rostering/scheduling in the community services industry is highly regarded Previous use of Deputy programme is highly regarded Experience with timesheet checking, collation or payroll Highly developed communication and problem solving skills Knowledge of and the ability to apply award conditions including ensuring compliance of shift rostering Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a range of computer systems and software Demonstrated ability to undertake detailed work and maintain information systems with a high degree of accuracy Communicate changes to Support Workers, Clients and Management within prescribed timescales Assist in the maintenance of the client data system Reporting and database management Desirable Criteria: Experience in a similar role in a community services organisation is highly regarded but not compulsory.
