Assistant Facilities Manager



Exciting opportunity for an Assistant FM seeking a new challengeBased in Major Shopping Centre July 1st Start Date. The Client Our client owns and manages a diversified portfolio of assets around the globe. Their portfolio of shopping centres ranges from neighbourhood to Regional assets, across the eastern seaboard.

Their leaders, known for being nimble, decisive, and fast, and have operated very efficient teams that achieve their goals. The Opportunity Reporting into the Facilities Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the presentation and overall maintenance, cleaning, occupant safety and security of the Shopping Centre is consistent with an A Grade Centre. Duties include: Assist with Asset Plan / Business Plan Knowledge & understanding of asset lifecycle Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including operators, colleagues, local community groups & customers Assist in managing asset fixtures, plant & equipment, including performance, repair, maintenance, presentation & cleanliness Manage the contracts, obligations/KPI’s of the cleaning & securing teams Identify maintenance requirements & coordinate task completion with contractors Monitor vertical transport & HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly Collaborate with Tenancy Coordination team on fit-outs, alterations & works Monitor & report any hazards Report any maintenance issues to the Senior Facilities Manager & Centre Manager Assist with OPEX & CAPEX budgets, project plans & delivery Negotiate contracts with suppliers, approve invoices & work orders Maintain logs & registers The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have/be: Experience in Shopping Centre Operations / Facilities Management OR Property Management Forward-thinking & innovative Able to manage risk, staff tenants, customers & contractors Up to date in industry best practices, relevant Australian Standards and WHS legislation ensuring that the Shopping Centre is safe, compliant & well maintained.

Able to work under pressure, be calm, level-headed & negotiate with key stakeholders Proven ability in meeting tight deadlines Demonstrated experience in managing operational staff, contractor inductions & safety compliance. How to Apply Please call Liz Solanki on 0420 896 268 or email your CV to
