The Role Applications are sought from enthusiastic and suitably qualified school counsellors or psychologists for the position of College Counsellor/Psychologist. The successful applicant will work at both our St Mary's and St Brigid's Campuses. This is a vital role at the College, working closely with boys, parents, teaching staff, pastoral and other professional staff.
A strong understanding of the developmental needs of adolescent boys and the associated issues which influence their lives is essential. Salary Salary and conditions for the position of Student Counsellor are in accordance with the 2018 VCMEA. Selection Criteria It is expected that the successful applicant will have: University training in Psychology and/or Counselling Counselling and psychology qualifications and professional experience that enables registration with AHPRA and full registration with APS An ability to provide assessment, counselling and consultancy as appropriate to College Leadership and the Critical Incident Team Highly developed organisational skills and excellent record keeping skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work with a multicultural clientele A willingness to participate in co-curricular activities Sound knowledge of legal and ethical considerations in an educational setting Demonstrated capacity to work with adolescent males enthusiastically and creatively and an understanding of the particular experiences and needs of adolescent males How to Apply Please see Application Instructions on this page.
