We are looking for an experienced Assessment Officer to join a new and dynamic team with a rapidly growing Federal Government Agency. You will be part of an exciting project Located close to the CBD Great work life balance APS 4 equivalent opportunities available The role: As Assessment Officer, you will be the point of contact for a range of service and administration activities on behalf of the agency. The role is broad and varied, but you will typically be responsible for managing a caseload, supporting the work of the team, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your key duties include: Read, collate and apply appropriate models in relation to complaints Managing incoming telephone approaches from the public, which can include handling difficult conversations Categorising and triaging cases by applying a formal framework Effectively managing cases Identifying, escalating and managing risks Ensuring efficient and accurate recording of information Contributing to the priorities of a team Developing and maintaining good relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders Communicating effectively with people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds, and managing unreasonable client conduct Managing own work responsibilities and workload in a timely and efficient manner In order to be considered for this position you have to be Australian citizen Able to obtain a Baseline Level Security Clearance About you: We are looking for someone that; Has high analytical skills Previous experience in written correspondence Committed to quality administration and client services and is confident and resilient in liaising with internal and external stakeholders in relation to contentious or complex matters Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex information to clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and communicate effectively with internal management Has excellent time-management, being able to the prioritise work and ability to effectively prioritise and manage a caseload Ability to maintain a high standard of data recording Able to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team, including assisting with quality assurance and participation in corporate activities Supports the needs of team and the broader agency by taking a flexible and adaptable approach to changing work needs.
