Exciting opportunity for an experienced VIT trained, teacher mentor. Goodstart is looking for a full time teacher mentor to share their knowledge with our graduate teachers, and help them progress from provisional to full registration. The role would suit a highly motivated, professional teacher, with a passion for inquiry learning.
Based at our Head Office in Port Melbourne, with travel to Centres. This role is a fixed term contract ending December 2020 (with the possibility of extending dependant on funding) About the role – Support graduate teachers to progress through the VIT registration process Drive opportunities for development through tools, assignments, mentoring and coaching relationships. Create a contextualised State based blueprint aligning to Goodstart’s national framework and position on professional practise for ECTs.
Coordinate internal and external mentoring sessions as required for ECTs Develop and implement professional development opportunities Share expertise within own team and other teams.
