Student Achievement Manager
This is a fixed term role until 30/12/2020. This position is based in Wimmera South West and could be based in either the Warrnambool or Horsham Office. The Education State is building a system that provides every student with the knowledge, capabilities and attributes that will see them thrive throughout their lives, to have the skills that industry needs, and that employers expect.
This is supported by a number of initiatives including the Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support initiative that seeks to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of all students, and provide intensive literacy and numeracy teaching support to secondary students in Years 8 to 10 who are at risk of finishing school without the literacy and numeracy skills they need for future work or study. The Student Achievement Manager will work collaboratively as part of a placed-based multi-disciplinary team to improve student outcomes, focussing on the schools and workforce participating in the Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support initiative. The purpose of this role is to: • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to improve student outcomes • Work closely across participating schools to coordinate and monitor implementation of the Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support initiative • Broker and build relationships with the Network Literacy Teachers, Network Numeracy Teachers and their host-schools • Support the initiative's teaching workforce by establishing and coordinating a place-based Community of Practice • Ensure the integrity of the implementation process through monitoring and reporting, including contributing to the evaluation as required Travel is a requirement of this position.
