Assistant Director - Surveillance
The position will manage a national team of experienced staff located around Australia who conduct surveillance at the national border for mosquitoes or plant pests and diseases. The candidate must have: a high level of leadership skills, sound experience with surveillance and botany, entomology or plant pathology knowledge; sound and proven program management and strategic thinking skills and experience; strong people management skills; the proven ability to deal with difficult situations; be highly self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal supervision; and capable of fulfilling a national leadership role.
