About the role: As an Assistant Manager you will lead and manage a team of Senior Information Officers who are working in a newly established Inter-Agency Information Sharing Service. The service is responsible for responding to Family Violence and Child Information Sharing requests for information to a wide range of Information Sharing Agencies who are working in the family violence and child protection sector. The Service also manages the Reportable Conduct and National Redress Schemes on behalf of Victoria Police.
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and support flexible working arrangements Your duties will include: Manage and lead a team responsible for the release of sensitive information; Provide specialist advice to internal and external customers and stakeholders on all aspects of the Information Sharing Schemes the unit manages; Manage and triage caseload effectively ensuring workload is distributed evenly across the team and requests for information are turned around in a timely manner; Provide quality assurance and risk management across all aspects of the Information Sharing Service; Liaise professionally and form strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders and customers. As the successful applicant, you will have: Experience in leading and managing staff; Experience in interpreting and applying legislation and policy; Previous customer service experience; Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and problem solve effectively with employees and stakeholders; The ability to identify, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and Victoria Police. Requirements and relevant information: Position will be located at the Victoria Police Centre (VPC), 637 Flinders Street, Docklands.
In mid-2020 the VPC will be relocating to 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
