We aim high – we are passionate about delivering the best for our city We add value – we are innovative and make the most of every opportunity We work as a team – our people are great individually, but unstoppable together We take responsibility – we are committed to working safely, being trustworthy and owning our actions About the Position You will be responsible for the administration of the City's Community Grants Programs, through the effective coordination of annual community grant funding programs, communication of grant funding opportunities to community organisations, management and evaluation of grant applications and monitoring of all grant recipients through to acquittal, regular evaluation of the effectiveness of grant programs and the delivery of quality and compliant performance reporting.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Coordinate the implementation of the on-line grants management program (Smartygrants) across the City. Use the Smartygrants program to administrate and process grant programs within the Community Grants Policy. Coordinate the allocation of grant funding across various programs within the Community Grants Policy.
Convene the evaluation and Councillor panels to assess applications and make appropriate funding recommendations to the Council. Coordinate the advertising of the availability of grant funding opportunities on Council’s website, along with associated priorities and application guidelines. Manage the expectations and accountabilities of prospective grant recipients through effective communication and acquittal processes Answer queries and provide advice and support to internal and external stakeholders (including Councillors).
Draft community grants reports as required for approval by Council. Advise successful and unsuccessful applicants of the grant funding decisions and provide unsuccessful applicants with constructive feedback. Maintain a central register of community grants and provide quality reporting.
