An opportunity to be part of the Department of Cardiology at Ryde Hospital is available Applications are accepted via eCredential only, to apply click here Position Classification : Visiting Medical Officer Employment Type : Sessional Duration: Quinquennium 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025 Purpose of the position Provide clinical management and consultation service to patients in the Department of Cardiology, including participation in an appropriate on-call roster for Cardiology at Ryde Hospital, and in management of inpatients in ward and acute assessment unit settings, and of outpatients as required. This care will be provided within the Cardiology scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC). This position will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the District.
Selection Criteria MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Cardiology with current TTE skills. Evidence of and commitment to medical education including the delivery of teaching programs. Evidence of and commitment to quality improvement methodologies.
