Occupational Health Nurse
Applicants are required to have previous experience working onsite as an Occupational Health Nurse to be considered for this position Our well-established occupational health business, Jobfit Health Group, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse for onsite medical clinic located at McArthur River Mine (NT) Jobfit Health Group delivers a broad range of occupational healthcare services to thousands of businesses nationally, including pre-employment medical assessments, work fitness assessments, injury management and prevention, drug and alcohol screening, onsite medical services, health surveillance and health and wellness programmes. The role is based at our client's onsite medical clinic at McArthur River Mine (NT), and covers shifts from 6.00am to 6.
00pm with on call provisions from 6.00pm to 6.00am.
The roster for this position is 15 days on, 13 days off, and flights are in and out of Darwin Airport. Flights to/and from the site to Darwin Airport, and accommodation and meals on site, are provided by our client. The role is suitable only for those residing in the NT or looking to relocate to the NT.
Applicants are required to have previous experience working onsite as an Occupational Health Nurse to be considered for this position. Responsibilities Treatment, management and referral (where required) of work related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses Facilitate and conduct health assessments including pre-employment medicals, periodical medical assessments and health surveillance activities Facilitation of biological health surveillance both within the clinic and on the mining operations sites (phlebotomy and urine sampling) Participation in the injury management and rehabilitation and return to work programs (medical certification, injury treatment and case conferences) Facilitation of drug and alcohol screening, hydration testing and immunisation services Assist with development and facilitation of health promotion activities Train emergency response personnel on relevant medical topics and Senior First Aid across the mine site Effective management of Poison Permit, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and equipment within State legislation, including maintenance and calibration of equipment Follow client and Jobfit protocols and processes, and maintain accurate medical records in accordance to the Privacy Act and NT WorkSafe Attend regular meetings with the client and Jobfit management and provide reports as required Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) - current AHPRA registration with no endorsements, conditions, undertakings or reprimands Minimum 3 years onsite experience in mining, construction or heavy industry Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Drug & Alcohol accreditation Proficient in taking blood Previous Rehabilitation and RTW experience Able to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills High level computer skills and proficiency What we offer Team member developm....
