Early Childhood Educator - St George Hospital, Kogarah Lorikeet Early Learning Centre is looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team. Lorikeet Early Learning Centre, St George Hospital at Kogarah was established in 1990 to provide care and education to children of parents working within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).

We are an employer-sponsored, 56 place, long day care service that is well resourced and provides good conditions for staff, including dedicated programming time, regular team meetings and professional development opportunities. We operate at above legal ratios and are committed to providing high quality care and education. Your purpose: To provide high quality care and education to the children enrolled at Lorikeet Early Learning Centre to ensure families working within SESLHD are able to carry out their duties knowing their children are well cared for.

To work with the Director and other staff in all matters important to the care and education of the children and the smooth running of the Centre. To maintain practices in accordance with the National Quality Framework as well as all Lorikeet and SESLHD policies and procedures. Selection Criteria Diploma or Certificate III in Child Studies or equivalent (as approved by ACECQA).

HLTAID004 - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or equivalent qualifications (as approved by ACECQA - must cover Provide First Aid and emergency response to asthma and anaphylaxis). Demonstrated confident and motivated personality with an ambition to provide excellent education and care to children 0-5 years. Demonstrated initiative to enable you to work with minimal instruction.

Sound, practical working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards. Ability to be flexible and competent working across all age groups. Good level of maturity and demonstrated initiative to enable you to work with minimal instruction.
