About Sydney Metro Sydney Metro is a key part of Australia's biggest public transport infrastructure program - a total $51.2 billion investment into creating a world-class, interconnected and technology-enabled Future Transport system for the people of NSW. When complete, Australia's first fully-automated Metro will run from Sydney's booming North West region under Sydney Harbour, through new underground stations in the CBD and beyond to the South West.

The opportunity We have an opportunity for an outstanding Associate Director to be part of Sydney Metro's City and Southwest project. Reporting to the Director Commercial - TSOM, the primary purpose of the role is to lead the commercial management of the TSOM (Trains, Systems, Operations and Maintenance) contract package ensuring the implementation of the commercial framework and procedures and monitoring performance against key performance indicators.
This role is to provide advice on commercial matters, contract negotiations, risk allocation, probity, cost benchmarking, reporting, dispute management and value for money. With a systematic, detailed and a well-organized approach to work, you will provide input into broader corporate responsibilities including the development and implementation of industry best practice business processes and systems. You will lead, inspire and coach a small team of Contract Management and Contract Administration specialists to effectively manage risks to ensure successful delivery of the City and Southwest project.
Ideal experience, skills and personal qualities for success in this role: In addition to holding a relevant tertiary qualification, you will also have significant experience in managing a range of complex contract arrangements within fast paced complex environments. You have demonstrated experience in the management of infrastructure contract administration and implementation of contract management frameworks. We are looking for a commercially astute leader, with a highly developed contract and cost management skills, who would mentor, inspire direction and delivery, develop people and drive change with a thorough understanding of complex contractual terms and conditions.
