Clinical Nurse Specialist, Allergy and Immunology We are seeking a suitably experienced Registered Nurse to perform the role of Allergy Immunology Clinical Nurse Specialist. What you'll be doing The Allergy/Immunology Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 ( CNS2) will use expert evidence to triage and monitor access to clinics to ensure the timely review of new and existing patients. The CNS2 will provide clinical management to complex patients and educate other health professionals and carers in the appropriate management of complex allergic conditions.
This position will facilitate the continuum of care via linkages/referral to local services as soon as possible. To provide treatment and follow up of patients under the care of Immunology and Allergy To develop patient education for self-management of their treatment To provide expert clinical advise and support to nursing staff and other health care providers To provide comprehensive care for adult and paediatric patients with allergic or immunological disease. To perform drug allergy testing, venom immunotherapy, aeroallergen immunotherapy, drug desensitisation To perform drug and food challenges To provide clinical management and care to complex allergy patients and provide education to patients and carers in the appropriate management of their conditions Coordination and implementation of clinical trials Employment Type : Temporary Full Time until 28 February 2021 Position Classification : Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration : $1,930.
