Infrastructure systems administrator Victorian Government permanent job Melbourne CBD Your new company This leading Victorian government organisation, with the environment at its heart, requires an experienced Infrastructure systems administrator to join their team in a permanent capacity within the Information Technology Division. Your new role Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, you will be required to work within a team-based hybrid cloud environment and will be the final escalation point for technical support of Microsoft technologies and mobile phone management. This will include the management of, remote access technologies, hypervisors, enterprise mobility management, telecommunications, networks and storage appliances .
You will have strong communication skills and the ability to provide high level of customer service and engagement. Provide administrative maintenance, monitoring and support as part of the infrastructure team functions. Effectively triaging and troubleshooting escalated issues relating the on-premise Infrastructure and Cloud incidences.
In addition to day to day management of tickets you will also be responsible for participating in projects within your area of responsibility. Create and maintain systems documentation, configuration information and reporting. To be successful in securing this position you must have demonstrated experience within a similar position and poses the following skills: Strong Infrastructure systems administration background within a Microsoft operating environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, SCCM, ADFS, AD, SQL, Office 365, Exchange. Fundamental networking experience including NAC, WIFI, Switching, LAN and WAN.
Experienced with remote access and management of technologies including Citrix and mobile device management services like Workspace One, AirWatch or InTune. Experienced in scripting languages, preferably PowerShell Knowledge of CI/CD tools, DevOps, Agile practices and tools including automation frameworks Excellent people skills - Ability to work autonomously and build excellent working relationships within the team and across the business.
