Provision of quality diagnostic radiography services to all patients serviced by the Prince of Wales Medical Imaging Department. Staff will work in all areas serviced by this department and will participate in a 24/7 rotating shift roster which may include on call. These are rotating shift positions but we are happy to consider permanent night/evening shift arrangements.
Registration and licence documents must be attached to the application or, preferably, emailed to the convenor. (PDY's / NPDP's / Level 1 Radiographers are not eligible to apply.) The Prince of Wales Hospital Medical Imaging Department is located on the Randwick Campus and provides services to POWH, Sydney Children's Hospital, the Royal Hospital for Women and the War Memorial Hospital.
The successful applicants will participate in a 24/7 rotating shift and on call roster. They will initially work in adult and paediatric general and emergency departments, operating theatres, mobiles, IVP's, screening and OPG's. Further progression to other modalities is dependent on prior experience and the radiographer's capabilities and performance within the department.
Selection Criteria Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science or equivalent. Holds a NSW EPA Radiation Licence. Demonstrated active participation in continuous professional development.
Demonstrate practical ability and clinical reasoning skills in all aspects of medical diagnostic radiography in examinations of the skeletal, alimentary, genitor-urinary and respiratory systems. Demonstrate ability to communicate accurately and effectively and work as a team member. Demonstrate adaptability and initiative in emergency situations.
