About the role The Dean of Digital Learning is a passionate educator who has the wisdom, demonstrated skill sets, confidence, experience, drive and commitment to develop and enhance teaching and learning strategies utilising, in part, digital learning environments and pathways.
The Dean of Digital Learning is a key leadership in learning role with a focus on building the ICT capacity of staff, to ensure staff are confident and capable of using contemporary educational methods and digital learning tools for authentic teaching and learning. This position is also responsible for the leadership of the IT Learning Area. Teaching IT is essential, and the ability to teach VCE Software and Development Units 3 and 4 is preferable.
The Dean of Digital Learning is expected to be a key leader within the school and reports to the Assistant Principal - Organisation. A high level of knowledge in the innovative use of ICT across all learning areas and a high level of inter-personal skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s eLearning program within the framework of the school vision and CEM policies and guidelines is required.
