Sportsground Liaison Officer

About the Role We’re looking for a passionate individual who has a good understanding of the sport and recreation industry who can build relationships between the local sporting Community and Council. Your role will focus on optimising the use, management, and programming of Council’s sporting and recreation facilities.
You will also contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of policies to enhance the management of open space and recreation facilities and services to the community. Key Requirements Extensive knowledge and practical experience of leisure and/or recreation and open space management An understanding of the structure and functions of sport and recreation clubs and associations developed through practical experience An understanding of the facilities booking process and experience in dealing with bookings and/or allocating space Proven ability to negotiate and interact on complex and sensitive issues A capacity to work in a multi-project environment, effectively implement systems and procedures and work to agreed deadline Demonstrated experience conducting community forums, meetings, community consultation or similar Demonstrated experience in acting as a client in delivery of a diverse capital works programs Proven experience in maintaining and monitoring service levels provided by internal or external providers. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills Experience in the development and delivery of Sports Development programs Proven documentation and report writing skills including the ability to prepare, interpret statistics and forecasts into reports Your commencing annual salary will range from $83,452 to $93,883 superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
