Safe Work Australia's commitment to excellence has positioned us as a leading and trusted source of work health and safety (WHS) and workers' compensation information, both nationally and internationally. We are a small Agency of around 100 people, but our work plays a significant role in the lives of 12.5 million working Australians.
We are looking to fill two Branch Manager positions with talented, enthusiastic and motivated leaders who are passionate about making a difference and leading the implementation of Safe Work Australia's work plan. Our current priorities include developing a range of WHS guidance and tools that Australian workplaces can use to help manage health and safety risks posed by COVID-19. The key duties of the position include Both Branch Managers will support the delivery of Safe Work Australia's statutory functions as well as its strategic objectives by: providing high quality strategic policy advice to a range of stakeholders, including the CEO and Safe Work Australia Members leading and providing strategic direction to a Branch to enable the effective development of policy and/or the collection of the evidence required to support the development and implementation of national policy collaborating and influencing outcomes across government, business and the community, and promoting, encouraging and supporting national activities that will contribute to improvements in WHS and workers' compensation.
As part of Safe Work Australia's Executive, you will be required to evaluate and identify continuous improvement opportunities, and to be collaborative and innovative in identifying solutions to complex WHS and workers' compensation issues. You will inspire a sense of purpose and direction, build organisational capability and provide strategic leadership to employees within the Branch and across the Agency more broadly. A merit pool may be established to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.
