Network, Design & Installation (ND&I) Specialist
Role Summary: To support the achievement of the Life Care Solutions (LCS) business objectives by the provision of advice on network, design and installation (ND&I) support on all aspects of LCS products to both customers and colleagues. Essential Responsibilities: • Participate in the pre-sales process to assist Account Managers with understanding customer needs/requirements when GE equipment will be interfacing with a hospital's IT infrastructure. • Support the LCS team in responding to customer technical enquires - may require direct consultation with the customer project management and IT.
• Work with the LCS team and GE project management team to assist with complex product installations providing technical expertise with respect to ND&I. • Liaise with the GEHC Digital team for specific installations particularly those requiring HL7 interface. • Seek opportunities to convert technical enquiries into new or developed sales possibilities (e.
g. lead generation, up and cross selling) and collaborate with the appropriate sales specialist. • Support local sales promotion activities e.
g. customer demonstrations and seminars. • Support local sales with technical review of tenders and technical follow up for QAA's.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and competence on specialist subjects, products and their applications. Maintain an up to date knowledge of all products and services. • Establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with customers and the LCS team.
• In collaboration with the LCS Leadership team, develop and execute on education plans for the team on the topics of hospital IT infrastructure, hospital networking and how GE products interact with hospital IT infrastructure. • Interact closely with the Field Service organisation to support LCS product installations that involve network integration, or which have an IT component. Qualifications/Requirements: • Experience with ND&I • Education - relevant tertiary qualification • Prior experience with the relevant product group or technical support experience • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Experience in building and maintain customer relationships Desired Characteristics: • Experience working in a hospital environment either as part of the hospital or a supplier to the hospital • Field engineering in a relevant field • Commercial experience About Us: GE (NYSE:GE) drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges.
